Chair

Dan Meyers joined the Curry School Foundation Board in 2000. 

Dan was named president and chief executive officer of the First Marblehead Corporation and a member of the board of directors in 2008. Dan co-founded the company and previously served as its chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors.

From 1980 to 1991, Dan was involved in arbitrage and derivatives trading at EF Hutton, Prudential Bache Securities, LF Rothschild Unterberg Towbin, and Commodities Corporation.

In addition to chairing the Curry School of Education Foundation, Dan sits on the University of Virginia Campaign Executive Committee and serves as the Council on Foundations representative to the U.Va. Board of Visitors. He also serves on the Board of the Forum for the Future of Higher Education.

Dan received an A.B. in Economics from Brandeis University and completed the Owner/President Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
