Stewart Roberson joined the Curry School Foundation Board in 2004.
Stewart is superintendent of Hanover County, Virginia, Schools, overseeing a $230 million annual budget, 20,000 students, and 3,115 employees. He also serves as an executive professor in the Curry School of Education’s administration and supervision program and the U.Va. School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
A former chair of the Curry School Foundation Board of Directors, Stewart is also a former president of both the Urban Superintendents Association of America and the Virginia Association of School Superintendents.
He completed a B.S. in social studies education from the Curry School in 1977, an M.Ed. in administration and supervision from the Curry School in 1981, and an Ed.D. in administration and supervision from the Curry School in 1987.
He resides in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
