Welcome to the Curry School and the University of Virginia! We are looking forward to having you join us this fall. In the meantime, here are a few things to keep in mind.

The folks at U.Va. have done a great job compiling a list of links that cover all sorts of things that graduate students might want to know. Here is the UVa Graduate Guide.
Important Dates
Over the summer:
- tuition bills will be emailed from the Bursar's Office to the email address you listed on your application. Be on the look-out for this email.
August 15:
- student health insurance coverage begins (through August 14, 2010)
August 21 and 24:
- Orientation for all incoming graduate students: Detailed Schedule
August 25:
- Classes begin
August 31:
- deadline for submission of the Pre-entrance Health Record (for those enrolling at Curry full-time)

Health Insurance
Health insurance coverage begins August 15th. If you are receiving a Graduate Student Health Insurance Subsidy, the cost of health insurance coverage for 12 months is covered for you ($2092 in 2009-2010). When registering for classes on SIS, the university database, you should elect coverage and then follow the instructions to enroll. You will receive an email confirming enrollment. See the Student Health Center's website for details about the insurance plan.
Financial Matters
If you are responsible for paying part of your tuition yourself (i.e., it is not covered through departmental or grant funds), please see the Student Accounts website for information about an optional monthly payment plan. Early enrollment is required.
You will need to complete employment forms in order to get paid for your work as a GRA. By July 1st (at the latest), please submit the two forms below to:
