Subject: Required Quality Workshop

"The Quality Our Customers Deserve"

This workshop is produced for the benefit of all employees by Caduceus-Chicago in collaboration with Caduceus-Hamptead. It is intended to raise awareness of the commitment to competitive quality improvement in an interactive format that combines video and group discussion.

Each employee will understand his/her vital role in the quality improvement process by:

• Attending a presentation by a member of the Hampstead Quality Team regarding our mission, vision and values; our quality initiative (short- and Long-term plans and activities); and a sense of management's commitment to implement and support quality improvement at Hampstead University Hospital..

• Looking at our services from the customer's perspective

• Learning the value of, and techniques for, delighting the customer beyond his/her expectations to help achieve a competitive advantage

• Understanding the need to streamline processes and develop systems that make it easier to "wow" the customer

• Learning the difference between "good" and "bad" costs of quality

The workshop will be held at 8 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. in the Kadenski Conference Center (Main Hospital, Rm G 43) Monday-Friday between April 6-24. These times have been selected to accommodate the work schedules of all three shifts.

You may sign up for the workshop of your choice with your supervisor. Since seating in Kadenski Conference Center is limited to 45, you are advised to select your workshop as soon as possible.

Attendance is mandatory for all employees. Two hours of compensatory time will be added to earned vacation time for employees attending the workshop.
