Harvesting Cooperation:1997 Discussion Case Provocateurs

If you've already reviewed the case, you know it takes place at a small state university, where an instructional design has been called for that:

  • Uses cutting edge technologies
  • Targets Hispanic High School students interested in agricultural careers
  • Will fulfill the University's and the Cooperative Extension Service's outreach mission

Given these facts, we've invited four distinguished Provocateurs to join us for the discussion of "Harvesting Cooperation." After submitted an ID case response, each team participating in the 1997 Discussion Case Event will receive comments and questions from at least two of the Provocateurs.

Steve Ehrmann

Steve is a consultant with the American Association for Higher Education where he directs the Flashlight Project and works with the Teaching Learning and Technology Roundtable Program. Flashlight helps educational institutions assess their educational uses of information technology. Dr. Ehrmann was previously a senior program officer with the Annenberg/CPB Projects and a program officer with the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE). His doctorate in management and higher education is from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Steve will be reflecting both his own perspectives and those of case player Stewart Washington. (Steware Washington is the fictional Director of the university's Technology Resource Learning Center.)

Verònica L. Donahue

Verònica is the Coordinator for the Nelson Regional Migrant Education Program, located in Nelson County, Virginia. In that capacity she provides resources and assistance to school-age children of migrant farm workers. Veronica will be teaming with our next Provocateur, Paul Longo. Together they will offer their own perspectives and also represent those of case player Jorge Recinos. (Jorge Recinos is the fictional Director of the Franklin Area Youth Action Project.)
