Allison Rossett, professor at San Diego State University, is a
consultant in performance and training systems. ISPI Vice-President
for Research and Development from 1988-90, she has authored
articles on new media instructional design, analysis, performance
support, and other topics, and two award-winning books, Training
Needs Assessment and A Handbook of Job Aids. In October, Jossey
Bass will publish her new book: First Things Fast A Handbook for
Performance Analysis. Her recent work focuses on automated tool
development and the unique challenges of cross-functional solution
systems. A ping pong champion in her youth, she has devoted recent
energy to the challenge of the yo-yo.

Cherie Blut
Cherie Blut is currently pursuing her Masters in Educational Technology
at SDSU. For the last few years, Cherie has been working at a
software company where she helps produce training classes and
seminars. In addition to school last semester, Cherie took on a
project for the Technology Channel of San Diego producing a pilot
series for the show "Outdoor Lifestyle", and also helped to
produce/design an interactive web site for the show. She ended up
writing the script and even hosting in the pilot series,
so check it out. Cherie's focus is in instructional/media
production and development. This semester, she will be helping
the UCSD Medical Center conduct a needs assessment and prototype
storyboard for videos that help family members deal with diseases
such as Alzheimer's.

Judee DeJaco
Judee DeJaco has seven years of junior high classroom experience.
She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton where
she majored in elementary education with an emphasis on Science.
She is presently apart time graduate student in the Department of
Education Technology at San Diego State University. She hopes to
graduate by the next millennium and apply her newly learned skills and
knowledge to K-12 classroom settings. In her free time she likes to
rollerblade, eat out, and enjoy the San Diego sunshine.

Kimberly Hall
Kimberly Hall is an MA Candidate in Educational Technology at San
Diego State University. She also teaches English to potential
international graduate students at the San Diego State University
American Language Institute. Kimberly studied history as an
undergraduate and holds an MA in History. She combines her history
experience with technology by collaborating with faculty inputting
their courses on the Internet and implementing distance learning. She
is currently working with the History Dept. on a distributed learning
course with a local high school and with the Art Dept. on aiding the
faculty in learning how to implement their coursework on the WWW.

Linda Woods Hyman
Linda Woods Hyman is one of three "Fellows" creating informational
and instructional Internet and Video conferencing applications for
schools, libraries and community colleges at San Diego State
University's Department of Educational Technology as part of a
grant funded by PacificBell Education First. Linda earned her MLS in
Library and Information Science in 1982 from the University of
Maryland and has worked in variety of libraries including academic,
public, medical and law. She is currently enrolled in the Master's
program in Educational Technology at San Diego State and expects to
graduate in Spring, 1999. "I hope to consolidate my interests in
retrieval and delivery technologies, message and instructional
design, and performance technology."

Michael McKean
Michael McKean is a graduate student in educational technology who
is about halfway through the Master's program at SDSU. He comes to
instructional design from a brief career in astrophysics, in which he
obtained a doctorate in 1990at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
He decided to change careers about two years ago, and in fall, 1996,
began attending SDSU. Mike plans to graduate before the millenium.
He is a full-time student and has an appointment as a GA in the Ed
Tech Department. Mike is interested in designing products for science,
social science, and environmental education after (or before)
graduation. He hopes to design educational products for both
children and adults.

Lorenzo Selby
Lorenzo Selby has worked in big companies and little ones, ones
that he owned and ones that he didn't. He has worked for a nuclear
reactor designer (he didn't own that one.) and he has worked on a
farm (that one, he owned.). He has worked on state-of-the-art risk
analysis and he has pulled weeds 'til his back gave out. He has
worked for an oil refinery constructor and he has operated
state-of-the-art electron beam and laser welding machines on
deep space probes. He has worked side-by-side with illegal
immigrants (US citizenship impaired) and PhD's (No comment here.).
He is presently a middle schoolteacher on leave of absence
attending SDSU's Ed Tech program full-time. After completing the
program, he wants to go forth and help resolve training needs
around the world.

Kendra Jacqueline Sheldon
Kendra Jacqueline Sheldon is a native Californian, who grew up in
Palo Alto, the heart of Silicon Valley. After high school, Kendra
attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she studied
psychology and communications, and met her future husband, Steve
Sheldon. Kendra completed her undergraduate studies at San Diego
State University (SDSU) earning a B.S. in Television/Radio. After
working as a freelance writer and starting a family, Kendra
returned to SDSU to earn an M.A. in Telecommunications. Next, she
worked in local media as a researcher, writer, producer and production
assistant, but decided to return to SDSU again to study educational
technology. Kendra is currently a Master's Candidate in Education,
and works for the PacificBell Education First program.
