Randy is an associate professor of science education. He teaches courses in secondary science methods, educational technology for science and mathematics teachers, and science education research. Additionally, he coordinates the secondary science teacher education program at the Curry School.
Randy's interests in science education include research related to nature of science instruction and learning, as well as finding and developing compelling cases in which technology can be used to enhance science education methods classes. Randy and his graduate students are currently developing materials using the Intel QX3 digital microscope, robotic telescopes and virtual planetarium software, and the ExploreScience.com website.
