After writing your issue of the Royal News, consider the
following questions:
- How is information presented differently when the audience
changes?
- What was attractive about the New World to the British public?
What was unattractive?
- How can public figures be romanticized?
- How can portraying events, people, and places that are thousands of
miles away be difficult? How do you think this affected the relationship
between Britain and the colonies?
- What problems did the British have in keeping informed about the
colonies? What areas left them "in the dark?"
- How would a paper about Britain be written by the colonists?
